WELCOME TO THE DOWNTOWN KISSIMMEE CRA PLAN UPDATE
The Downtown Kissimmee Community Redevelopment Plan addresses the continued investment and improvement of the Downtown area. The Redevelopment Plan specifically identifies how funding that is collected from within the community is spent on improvements based on community needs. Redevelopment planning in Florida is regulated by state statutes and relies on tax increment funding to pay for improvements.
The Kissimmee Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is undergoing the process of updating its Community Redevelopment Plan. This process will be a collaborative effort over the next six (6) months between public and private sector partners to address new and evolving issues and opportunities throughout the community.
The Downtown Kissimmee CRA was established in 1990. The mission of the CRA is to restore, retain, and redevelop Kissimmee as the heart of the community. The Kissimmee CRA Board is made up of:

The Kissimmee Downtown Community Redevelopment Plan was last updated in 2012. During this iteration, the primary goal was to recover and continue to strengthen Downtown Kissimmee's local economy. The purpose of the 2020 update is to build upon the CRA's past and current efforts by continuing to improve the area's economy for current and prospective residents and businesses via strategies, programming, and projects.
